Businessman Brad Powers works as an online marketer, specializing in social media and viral marketing.  Marketers can participate in social media sites in a variety of different ways today by just understanding a few tricks of the trade.  First, set up your own “social media dashboard to show the impact of your social media efforts.”  This will let you sit around and wait until a really good social media measurement tool becomes available.”  See what others are doing; look around. Make sure you are registered on all the big social media sites, like Twitter and Facebook so that you can build up your networks and get the word out more easily. Look at how other social marketers are using these networks as tools to get the word out.  It’s all about identifying different – and easy – ways of spreading the word without breaking the bank.  The simplest ideas are often the cheapest too so don’t think you have to get complicated to get ahead.

eWOMP Technologies, where Brad Powers was the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, provides customized email and viral marketing solutions to a vast array of clients.  One of Brad Powers’ clients while he was working at eWOMP was Thomson Learning, which has since changed its name to Cengage Learning.

When Brad Powers was Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing for eWOMP Technologies, one of the company’s clients was Prometric.  Prometric is “the recognized global leader in technology-enabled testing and assessment services.”

Recently the company where Powers worked, conducted a survey which found that the problem of cheating in the testing industry is lower than one might think.  Interestingly, the results of this found is that what the public estimate of the extent of cheating in the assessment industry is quite far off.  Indeed, there is very little cheating in testing programs yet the fear of it is quite high.  As well, the findings showed that practically all respondents supported the idea of enforcing any type of method which would help secure the credence of a testing program.

Prometric today seeks to provide its clients with services to enable them to set up global testing programs and thereafter measure the results.  Customers are able to access these tests very easily on line or through over 10,000 test centers located in 163 countries around the world.
